30.03.16 RIVER IN FLOOD- DANGEROUS CONDITIONS + NAVIGATION RESTRICTIONS

13.00hrs Godalming Wharf to Thames Lock – all river sections of the navigations remain in flood, dangerous conditions to navigation exist and it is not safe to proceed along the waterway at this time.

There are trees blocking the navigation in the following places:-

– 100m downstream of Unstead Lock.
– 100m upstream of Bowers Lock, between the lock and Old Bucks Weir.
– 400m upstream of Broad Oaks Bridge.
– 10m below Send Church Bridge.

They are NOT passable. The tree between Murrays and Parvis Wharf Bridges has now been cleared. The trees at Unstead, Bowers and Send will now be dealt with asap. There are numerous other tress partially blocking the navigation but which are passable with care. These are also being attended to.
