13.05.16 Riverbank &Towpath Restoration Project

Work begins 16th May until end of August to restore the river bank and towpath between the A25 Ladymead and A320 Stoke Road bridges, Guildford. Please note during the works the towpath may be closed for all public access at times and suitable alternative routes will be signed via Parsonage Meadow (ground conditions permitting) or around Ladymead.

Navigation for boats will be unaffected but please be aware of work craft moving in the area and working adjacent to riverbank and towpath.  The visitor moorings at B&Q may be unavailable for periods from 23rd May into early June while the steel sheet bank protection is extended.

This work is being funded by Local Enterprise Partnership and is a joint project between the National Trust and Guildford Borough Council.

You can also check the latest river conditions by calling Thames Lock 01932 843106 or the Navigations office 01483 561389 (recorded message not updated at weekends)
